On-Time and battery draining over time

When the system is installed into the weapon, it will still use power from the battery to be prepared to fire at any instant.
To ensure the longest battery life when doing long training scenarios, it is suggested that you test and confirm that the system is working, remove the magazine and set it to off before inserting it again, when you're getting close to where firing might happen in your scenario, pull out the magazine and press the on-button and start the magazine.

The estimated battery life is 1-3 months in OFF mode depending on charge status when turned off.

Normal operation times are 24 hours continuously ON. That means if you have the system turned ON and installed in the weapon for 25 hours it will be depleted even if you have not fired any rounds.

Auto Turn Off

The system will automatically turn itself into deep sleep after 6 hours of being unused and turned on, this is to preserve function- and battery life. There is an exception to the Auto turn off perioded and that is when a magazine is installed into the weapon with a bolt, due to high power needs the magazine will turn off hammer driver and speaker driver after 1 HOUR to wake it up take the magazine out, click any button and insert it into the weapon again. The bolt should be turned on again, however you will need to load in another bullet into the chamber.

Bolt simulator

The E-blanks bolt simulator is an electormechanical device that replaces the real bolt of the weapon.
When using the E-blanks bolt, your own weapon will function mechanically like it would have from firing live-, blanks- or sim rounds.

Bolt simulator lights

The bolt, when installed does not move. It simulates the bolt states using lights.

Yellow light

A yellow light means the chamber is empty. It also means that the system is connected correctly.

White light

A white light means that a round is in the chamber and is ready to be fired.

Blue light

A blue light means that the BLE connection is being upheld while the magazine is out of the weapon.

Red light

When the light turns red it means a stoppage has occoured.

Bolt simulator modes

One important thing to note is that when the E-mag is removed from the weapon the bolt has lost power, after 60 seconds the light will stop glowing, the bolt has run out of power and does not have any memory of previous settings or operations.

To keep the wireless connection to the E-blanks recoil and E-blanks soundbooster and keep temporary programmed modes to last between the magazine changes the E-blanks bolt simulator is equipped with a super capacitator that will last for 6 seconds. If the magazine is removed, you can easily see that the connection is kept stable indicated by a blue light in the ejector port. When this light is gone, the connection is lost, but the pairing is remembered. However, modes are lost and needs to be re-applied.

Stoppage mode

To clear it recharge the faulty round.
If that does not work, take out the magazine and insert it again then pull the charging handle.

E-mag

E-mag capacity

The E-mag has 300 rounds total, with 30 rounds at a time. Giving one E-mag a maximum of 10 fully reloads before it needs to be charged and reset.
When

Battery life and discharing over time

The system is estimated to last for 300 shots or until the battery icon is depleted. When the system is installed into the weapon, it will still use power from the battery because it is turned on in that configuration to be prepared to fire at any instant.

The estimated battery life is 1-3 months in OFF mode depending on charge status when turned off.

In storage it is suggested to fully charge the units before turning off. It can then be stored for up to 8 months before needing to charge.

Normal operation times are 300 rounds or 24 hours continuously ON. That means if you have the system turned ON and installed in the weapon for 24 hours it will be depleted even if you have not fired any rounds.

Recoil simulator

Recoil capacity

The recoil has 1000 rounds total before it needs to be charged and reset.

Battery life and resetting

Currently the measurement of battery % left is based on amount of shots fired from a fully charged kit. A fully charged recoil can be ON for 100 - 150 hours.
Green Ammo suggests that the recoil is to be charged each time the magazine is charged to keep battery life and function optimal.

Soundbooster

Sounbooster capacity

The soundbooster has 1000 rounds total before it needs to be charged and reset.

Calibration

To have E-blanks work properly to any weapon within the AR—15 family it might be necessary to calibrate the system (If not done, the weapon could fire unintentionally, or fire on automatic fire, or that the shooting does not work at all).

To calibrate E-blanks to the weapon in use:
1. Install the E-blanks Bolt into the weapon
2. Set the selector into single shot
3. Fire the trigger so that the hammer is in forward position
4. Go into the magazine menu and click Calibrate
5. Click New, The Magazine screen will show countdown
6. Insert the magazine into the weapon before the timer reaches 0
7. Wait for the calibration process to be completed:

The calibration process is described below:
1. Light will first be red
2. Then there will be some mechanical actuation and a sound
3. Then when the light has turned green
4. Take out the magazine or pull the charging handle to start training
5. Now the E-blanks Bolt is calibrated to the weapon

Charging

The charger has 3 charging ports and 1 data port. In the back there is a connection to mains power.
When charging you can use any of the charging ports.

  1. Inspect the USB C cable and power cable for damages
  2. Attach the power cable to the power socket on the charger
  3. Insert USB C Cables into the charging slots on the charger
